MARTIN Grant has joined Somerset-based apprenticeship levy specialists AAA Training Solutions as the company’s Operations Manager for England.

Martin, who like the firm is based in Weston-super-Mare and has experience working with the UK Government, is helping care organisations access their levy pots and up-skill their staff nationwide.

He said: “It’s great to be working at AAA Training Solutions, which is a proactive and forward-looking business. I’m very confident about the future and the expertise I can bring to this role.

“I have more than 20 years strategic, advisory and operational experience in the field of learning and organisational development across a range of international government and private sector organisations. I previously worked as an Operational Director in the field of Learning & Development for the UK, Sierra Leone and the United Arab Emirates Governments.”

Within AAA Training Solutions, Martin is responsible for the smooth operational running of the business’ activities in England.

Managing Director, Steve Horler, who has been employed in the sector for 15 years and leads a team of highly-skilled trainers and assessors, explained: “His experience and commercial acumen ensure that we deliver exceptional operational results for all of our clients.

“Having worked with the UK Government and the country’s armed forces, Martin has established himself within the UK and Middle East & North Africa (MENA) as one of the leading pioneers within all Learning & Development programmes including the Apprentice Levy, which is the area we specialise in here at AAA.

“His knowledge and expertise mean that our clients feel confident about enhancing their workforce’s skills, increasing staff retention and achieving a return on investment from the training provided. He is an asset to our business and we’re thrilled he has joined our rapidly expanding team here in Weston.”

Martin has designed and project-managed a series of very successful programmes including Values Based Leadership, which is now in service with the UK Government.

He also designed and programme-managed a coaching system for the UK Government at levels three, five and seven on the UK national qualification framework.

Martin went on to designed and programme-manage the teacher-training programme for the Army Recruiting and Training Division (ARTD) Staff Leadership School. He was also responsible for the Operational Management of more than 3,000 learners, including apprentices, for the British Army.

Martin said: “I am committed to everyone’s personal development at all levels in a company and I know that all individuals possess the potential to succeed, it’s just a matter of unlocking that potential in order to realise their performance levels.”
AAA Training Solutions is on the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP) and is trusted by organisations to deliver their apprenticeships and the high-quality training they need at all levels for their staff.

Steve added: “We work closely with our clients to provide programmes that specifically meet their needs and to assist them in up-skilling their existing workforce through the qualification.

“Contrary to popular belief, apprenticeships aren’t just for school leavers seeking a route into employment. They are in fact potentially invaluable to all staff within a business or organisation too.”

AAA Training Solutions specialises in apprenticeship management and assisting businesses that are either subject to the levy, or in Wales where the levy does not apply, sourcing funding to support employers and maximising its use within the necessary timescales.

The directors and staff at AAA Training Solutions all have backgrounds in health and social care, and, as a result, have an in-depth understanding of the care sector.

AAA’s experienced nationwide team of trainers and assessors deliver a comprehensive range of courses that run from Level 2 through to Level 5. It also ensures organisations fully benefit from the Apprenticeship Levy.

To add to this, AAA offers training and qualifications in Leadership and Management.
